Last night, when I returned from work, Janet was making two thin-crust pizzas. Actually, she was taking two thin-crust frozen pizzas and adding ingredients before she cooked them. The pizzas are relatively small. One was for me and our nephew Adam who was visiting. The other was for Janet and Michael to share.
On my pizza, Janet put lots of onions and mushrooms. Then, she asked Adam, "Do you like mushrooms and do you want them on your half of the pizza?" Adam responded, without hesitation, "No, I don't like mushrooms. I guess I'm not a fungi (fun guy)." What a great pun on the spur of the moment. I could not have been prouder.
After receiving my praise for his fungi pun, Adam reported that the other day he stopped by the Lost and Found at BYU and said to the girl working there that she probably interacted with a lot of "losers" in her job. She laughed and said no one else had said that to her. Another great pun by Adam.
Sorry to pun-ish you, dear readers, with this post, but I love a good pun, and Adam came through last night.
